SEND Mentoring & Support
Thinking differently, together
I believe parents are the experts on their children, but sadly, there are barriers to implementing the support you know they need. SEND parents need someone to really listen, give them practical tools, and to understands both the system and the human experience of living within it. IAs a SEND parent with a strategic mind, I'm here to work with families to build confidence to navigate the educational and support systems without becoming the system integrator.
Navigating SEND can feel overwhelming. I understand first-hand how difficult it can be to balance education, appointments, meetings, referrals, education systems, paperwork and everyday family life with a child with SEND. I offer practical mentoring to help parents understand systems, organise information and advocate confidently for their children.
My aim isn't to navigate it for you, it's to help you build the confidence, capability and understanding to make the decisions and take the actions yourself without it feeling all consuming.
Together we'll build the foundations for:
✓ Confidence
✓ Knowledge
✓ Child-centred outcomes
I've spent years navigating the same complex systems and I've completed courses in parenting neurodivergent children, but nothing has taught me more than living through it myself.
The journey so far taught me how people can flourish in the right environment. It's also taught me how to spot it and what to do when the systems designed to support you, fail.

Testimonials: SEND Mentoring & Support
Here's what some of the families I've supported have shared about their experience.
Kristin Ocampo
"When I first moved to the UK, I had very little understanding of the SEND system or how best to support my son.
Rachel explained things clearly, shared her own experiences, and helped me feel much more confident advocating for my son. She listened without judgement, offered practical advice, and helped me make sense of what can often feel like an overwhelming and confusing system.
Because of her support, I feel far more informed about my son's needs, his rights and the options available to us. She has genuinely helped me feel less alone on our SEND journey."
Lee Walpole
"Taking on the world of SEND without Rachel is like exploring a cave without a torch, it's dark, confusing and easy to feel lost.
Rachel was there at the very start of my SEND journey. She guided me through everything, explained things clearly and often answered questions before I'd even thought to ask them.
More than that, she's the reason I haven't given up, and the reason I won't.
If you're trying to navigate SEND, having someone who understands the system and genuinely cares makes all the difference."
