No magic wand,
just great strategy
About me
I'm Rachel, founder of DiverGenuity Consulting
I've always been fascinated by how people, systems and ideas connect, and I'm (possibly, too) excited by planning projects and considering all possibile outcomes.
Whether I'm helping an organisation plan and execute a project, or supporting a family communicate with key agencies, my instinct is to understand what that 'magic wand' would give them, identify potential friction and build practical solutions.
My professional career began in marketing, ecosystems and partnerships, eventually leading to senior leadership. I spent more than fifteen years helping organisations create strategies for sustainable growth and deliver successful campaigns and projects. At the same time, life outside work was quietly changing my perspective.
Becoming a parent introduced me to a world I never expected to understand so intimately. The impact of neurodivergence on education and how the world seemed designed (not) to support it. I faced diagnostic pathways, EHCPs, tribunal appeals and all that SEND families face to advocate for their children. As a late diagnosed AuDHDer and after years of wondering why I questioned things that other didn't seem to consider, things started making complete sense to me.
I realised I wasn't applying two different skill sets, in both worlds I was doing exactly the same thing. Breaking down complexity, connecting information and seeing relationships or opportunities others had missed. The context was different, but the thinking required, was not!
How I work
I believe the best strategies are:
- Practical before perfect.
- Built around people, not processes.
- Flexible enough to evolve.
- Focused on sustainability, not quick fixes.
My aim is to provide the strategy and information to enable confident decisions, long-term.
